A Collection of Some of My Ghost Encounters
When thinking about what I wanted to share, I came up largely blank. I am not a very interesting person, but I have experienced some interesting things. Today I am going to tell you about some of the times I have encountered a ghost. Probably the first time I had a ghost experience was actually through my little sister. When she was just a few weeks old, we were all sitting downstairs watching TV (key word: all). Suddenly, we heard a loud noise and Elena started crying. We went upstairs, scared, to find her in the middle of the room on the floor. At first, my dad was angry because he thought one of us was playing a trick. However, he realized that no one had moved from the TV room. Our next thought was that there was an intruder, however the alarm had been turned on and was not set off. Creepy, right? The next instance was also at my dad’s house. One night, I was sitting at my desk facing the wall. From behind me, I heard my sister asking me to get her some juice. But when I turned around, there was no one there. I thought she was playing a game, so I walked around the house trying to find her. Finally I asked my dad if he had seen her, to which he replied, “She’s sleeping at the neighbor’s house tonight,”. Who had I heard then??? And now onto the really scary stuff. On one occasion, my mom, my sisters and I took a trip to a cabin in Tennessee. As soon as we got there, there were horrible vibes. The house was decorated with cotton and there were portraits of slaves everywhere. In the room my sister and I shared, there was a clock. As I was trying to fall asleep, the noise of the clock ticking was really bothering me. When I got up to inspect the clock, its ticking still occurring, I realized that none of the hands of the clock were moving. Upon further inspection, I found out that it was not plugged into the wall, nor were there any batteries in it. But when I called my sister over to check it out, the ticking immediately stopped. A few other things happened at that house (ask me and I can tell you about them), but I want to tell you all about something that happened to me here, at SCU. There I was, in my bed waking up. When I got up and looked in the mirror, I realized that something horrifying had happened. For some reason, there was a red handprint on my stomach (you can ask my roommate and suitemates about it, they saw it too when I showed them). It took hours to go away, and I was honestly quite freaked out. It was much smaller than my hand, almost like a child sized hand. Am I being followed by a ghost? Quite possibly… has anything terrible happened? No. So I think I am fine. (P.S. I have so many more ghost stories that have happened to me: if you are interested please ask).
I am always so intrigued by ghost stories but I know if any of these things happened to me I would lose it, haha. You have so many its crazy! I'm glad nothing serious has happened and hopefully you don't experience any more occurrences at SCU!
ReplyDeleteThis is really creepy! I'm glad to have no experiences with ghosts, but it's weird thinking that there may be something otherworldly on campus.
ReplyDeleteWow that is so scary! I find ghost stories so interesting, but if it were to happen to me, I would definitely freak out.
ReplyDeleteWow that's crazy and really scary. It seems like they're out to get you, you should do something about that. Good luck, don't die.
ReplyDeleteHave you read the Nathaniel Hawthorne short story The Birthmark? Reminds me of your hand encounter...
ReplyDeleteSomething about ghost stories always gets me (which makes me think they're real). I definitely believe there are dimensions of the universe that humans can't access, which could include whatever we call ghosts
